This video gives a comic and lighthearted approach to the old infomercial trope of the "useless competitor's product". When I wrote the script I knew that getting all of the product information out there was the number one priority, but I also knew that I wanted it to have some goofs. So I put together a narrative where the comedy would come from the on-screen action and not the copy being read by the spokesperson/straight man. The result is that we were able to get in some fun gags without adding to the length of the script or veering off course.
